Kirsten and Dan (the most darling couple... even though Dan is an Eagles fan... :) ) got married this past Saturday at Bella Piazza Winery in Plymouth. It was a scorcher (109 as I was driving up!) and I have to say, even though the ceremony was set to be outside, the reception room was nice and cool. (Yea for good air conditioning!) Kirsten showed me a couple of pictures of cakes she had seen that used this technique and that she really liked. The embroidery creates a lacy look. I was really happy with how this cake turned out. Cake flavors were Vanilla Bean Butter Cake filled and frosted with Lemon Buttercream and fresh raspberries and blackberries and Dark Chocolate Cake filled with cream cheese buttercream, Sour Cherry Caramel and Morello Cherry Compote. Yum!
